Scholarships

SELECTION CRITERIA

May not apply for an RCAT Scholarship that you have previously been awarded.
May be the recipient of other scholarships/awards simultaneously.
Must reside in the Rotorua District as defined by the boundaries of the Rotorua Lakes Council.
Important, will be evidence of:
The appropriate attitude and level of motivation to make well- above -average progress in their chosen field.
The ability and potential to achieve highly in their field.

SELECTION PROCESS

The RCAT selection panel will draw up a short list of applicants. The selection panel may also wish to interview and in some cases, audition applicants. Should this be the case, applicants will be informed.
All applicants will be notified of the selection panel’s decision which will be final and no discussion on the selection results will be entered into.

HOW TO APPLY

Applications must be made online (links below) and can be received at any time during the year, but must be with the Secretary NO LATER than 5pm on the 31st OCTOBER each year. They will then all be considered at the NOVEMBER meeting of the Trust.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

RCAT reserves the right to arrange for a public presentation of the successful applicants and to use the name of successful applicants for RCAT publicity purposes.
Each recipient will use his or her best endeavours to attend any award ceremony.
Where there is evidence of unsatisfactory progress or conduct on the part of the recipient, the RCAT reserves the right to review and recall the scholarship.
