1. HISTORY/BACKGROUND Dr Barry Smith was involved with the Rotorua Civic Arts Trust from the early beginnings of the Trust and was its Chairperson for 26 years. He was a virtuoso guitarist who shared his talent and vast musical knowledge freely and contributed to the community in many ways.
2. PURPOSE This scholarship is to assist talented instrumentalists to further their skills in their chosen field.
3. TERMS AND CONDITIONS One $2000 scholarship will be provided each year to an applicant selected by RCAT trustees.
